John De Pellegrin, father of the four brothers who make up the company’s current management team, began the business in the early 1950s and has delivered many iconic projects across Melbourne including:

  •  The Melbourne Teacher’s College Library at the University of Melbourne, now the Eastern Resource Centre (1969)
  •  Caulfield Technical College on Dandenong Road, now part of Monash University’s Faculty of Architecture (1967)
  •  The Broadmeadows Town Hall (1964)

John’s four sons—George, David, Stephen and Peter—had some of Melbourne’s most prominent construction sites as their backyard while growing up. Having grown up on construction sites, it’s fair to say that building is in our blood! We are a company driven by family values. Our mother was a strong figure within Melbourne’s Italian community and witnessing her care for the community first hand has instilled in us a sense of responsibility and a commitment to ‘doing the right thing’ that we draw on to deliver projects for our clients.
