OUR STORY
We grew up on job sites, now we run them.
Construction sites for backyards and never far from the action, building has been in our blood since the beginning.

George De Pellegrin at the Melbourne Teachers’ College under construction (1969)
Family-owned and operated since our establishment
Orion Builders - George, Stephen, David and Peter De Pellegrin have followed in the well-respected footsteps of their father, John De Pellegrin.
Fast forward to today and John’s successful family legacy lives on.
Our current management team shares the same drive for seeing strong family values play out on the job site and producing work we can be proud of along the way.
Our well-established family history brought many iconic projects to life across Melbourne, including the Melbourne Teachers’ College Library at the University of Melbourne, now the Eastern Resource Centre (1969), Caulfield Technical College on Dandenong Road, now part of Monash University’s Faculty of Architecture (1967), and the Broadmeadows Town Hall (1964).

While many things have changed over the
years, what will always remain is our focus on
good, honest collaboration and never losing
sight of what is important – people.
