Quality Assurance System

Our ‘no surprises for clients’ philosophy underpins our commitment to quality.

It’s in understanding their needs right from the beginning that sets the tone for our approach. Crystal clear communication and decisive problem-solving are paramount. Quality assurance is managed through a protocol-based, project-specific Quality Management Plan. Our project ‘blueprint’ monitors the progress of work on-site and outlines the control measures used, so that we can be across the status of each project element at any given time.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

We embrace best practice principles of the Environment Protection Authority Victoria to mindfully mitigate our footprint on the environment.

Our reuse and recycle approach to waste management ensures pollution is avoided as much as possible. When it comes to hazardous waste, a higher level of control is applied so that any such material is treated, contained, or disposed of in a way that causes no harm to individuals or our environment.

INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS

Safe and efficient worksites make for successful project delivery.

Our Industrial Relations Policy goes above and beyond in demonstrating the importance we place on meeting the appropriate industrial relations activities. This Policy outlines the importance of complying with all applicable industrial laws and obligations, awards, agreements and National and State codes of practice. It provides fair and reasonable management of industrial issues, monitors industrial relations performance of subcontractors and suppliers and the clear communication between these parties.

It encourages upskilling and creating these opportunities for our employees. It complies with the Victorian Government’s Industrial Relations Guidelines and the Fairwork Australia Framework.

Orion Builders is a proud member of the Master Builders Association of Victoria (MBAV) and rely on this organisation to support us when needed.

Occupational Health and Safety Management

Health and safety come first. Keeping people free from injury and harm is what matters most.

Workplace practices and initiatives that prevent the likelihood of these events are embedded into our everyday culture. This applies to our consultants, sub-contractors, suppliers and anyone else involved in our construction projects. Our OH&S framework ensures that health and safety is a priority on each project and that practices meet and exceed compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. This policy ensures individuals have the competencies required to undertake their work with minimum risk to health and safety. We are committed to the ongoing identification and monitoring of project-specific risks and upkeep of the relevant documentation. Our reporting and investigation of all incidents are thorough and timely and regular audits are undertaken. Through adequate onboarding, ongoing education and open communication, Orion Builders is proud of its health and safety framework. PDF File preview and download here
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY

We have a no-tolerance policy for discrimination, bullying and sexual harassment.

Our culture is proudly built on a solid foundation of trust and respect, and we expect that this high standard is upheld through all areas of our business.

Aligned and compliant with the Equal Opportunity Act 2010, we would look to the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission for dispute resolution to facilitate best practice and compliance if necessary.
